Best shot of sgts and L/sgts of a regiment or battalion. Later including Warrant Officers. Prize badge. Worn about 1901 and continued to be worn until prior to WW2. A nice badge.

I hope they dont do duff formation signs. The first RE badge certainly looks good
and any collector could easily be conned. Shame!

This badge was worn by 280 (UK) Signal Squadron in BFG circa 1982. My example came from the SQMS. I don't know if the unit still exists.

Have a look at Wessex Military Badge web page and tells you that the MOD have allowed the Military Band the honour to use the WESSEX badge as their emblem etc.

I was issued with the 2 round and 1 oval, cord on nylon in February 1956. We were issued with boxes of aplhabet and numbers to 'make' our identity discs.
