In my opinion this is a genuine flash, you can see by the sparse use of thread unlike the repro Pakistani/Indian repro's.. Also the materials used looks bonafide.

As far as I know there was a contingent of RAF...

As far as I know there was a contingent of RAF pilots that was attatched to the Glider Pilot Regt. after the heavy losses the latter took at Arnhem. They would wear the RAF rank insignia I presume....

Thank you for your swift reply.. I think the bullion type is Italian (my humble opinion), it has the low grade bullion, unlike the Japanese and Korean that were done in real silver...

34th Indian Corps

Hello Voltigeur,

The shoulder flash is a tiger on a red and white background as worn in the picture is the 34th Indian Corps. Force 136 (SOE) was resulting under this corps.
