Tx Alex ... did think it was more likely non-militaria although a number of Yeomanry had Rozette's during the Boer War. Fyi I picked it up in Natal with a mix of badges.

One thing that I have realised that is a key contributor to driving this behaviour is that over time, as the collection grows, it gets to a point where you have the more common badges....

I have the same badge in my collection. It got it some years ago from a collector in Cape Town.

I believe the badge to be "De Beers Battery Kimberley", which was on the backing card...
