HM EDinburgh?
Above worn from '92 until stocks ran out...£35 from PRI.
As a Pte/Rgr I wore one & nobody tumbled.
The black casting sand made them a bugger to clean initially.
I think most officers ran...

Cavalry NCO's & pagri?
Can anyone please id the arm? badges and confirm my suspicion that the Lincolnshire's badge is a pagri badge. It has quite long lugs and seems to have been bronzed.

I assume this badge to be ok but construction seems odd, no evident fixings?

MUST be a story here!
Can't see Ian putting on an obviously damaged button, 'voided' between legs, the Wilts dented or 'splashed' their buttons in memory of Carrickfergus.

Dear Al, Why the 'O' cut out? Was it an affectation of a dandy to reflect sunlight, make a noise or otherwise draw attention, I think I read of such yrs ago but can't remember the source?

Badge on WW2 Army documents case.
A friend has a documents case with a painted 'DZ' type badge - green/red/green
The only officer I can find of the same name as on the case, Col McFadden is Dr & Col J McFadden who served 1918-46....
