Strange Essex Militia badge

The officers pre 1929 V badge was slightly smaller than the later officers badges as per my photos in my 23.3.24 post in this section. Interesting to see the officer in your photos wearing...

Your officers J&Co collars are super - as Alan says, the VDG badge was mainly worn and hence the scarcity of the officers horse badge and the price it commands.

15th Hussars is well made, beautiful enamel but looks too new and gilding not smooth?
