It looks like your man is wearing a machine-gun collar shown in the CEF section as Babin 31-2.He also wear a metal shoulder title but also an unusual cloth shoulder title....as you already mentioned....

Hello Laurent,thr 12e Régiment Blindé du Canada was created in 1968.The beret shown is dated 1952.In my opinion these two item were put together to increase the selling value.
