Seems my button is Ayrshire (Earl of Carrick's Own) Yeomanry! if it was silver it would be a generic police button but it would seem not an MOD civilian staff button as sold to me...

I cant give any definitive answer but it could be an industrial factory fire brigade lapel badge? Denbigh had, I believe a glove making factory there?
