Thanks guys, must be something like that. I don't think it was AG Corps as there was a lady wearing that badge and I was able to ID from the shape but probably a different corps.

The question is, why go to all the trouble of faking a badge and then putting a totally unknown mark on the back. Maybe a small commission from WWI when the other makers were swamped with keeping up...

Yes, prior to 1922, Chief Petty Officer's wore what is now a PO's badge, with the red jewel. That is when the wreath was added to the badge for CPO's.
