Very nice Kangol! Isnít it amazing how the last numbers are always smudged on Green and Red berets but not on this one?? Lovely example of a 1944 tankers beret. Keep them coming.

Sorry, not sure what you mean? The badge you show looks fake with the crown cut off. Post a picture of the back to be sure.

Yes there is a way of telling. The post war RM contract green berets had a half moon stiffener like the RM blue/red flash berets.

I must admit I havenít seen any that were sewn on. Most have fixings, hook and eye or poppers so they could be removed when the item was to be washed. Both the badges I have have these fixings.
