The Wessex Volunteers were formed on the 1st April 1967
Re named 1st Battalion Wessex Volunteers on 1 April 1971 on the formation of the 2nd Battalion....

Was a Piper with 1 KOSB (1977 - 91) so could help with questions about that.

Edinburgh Tattoo 1980 the band ( KOSB Pipes and Drums)was given a bottle of rum( in a Grouse Whisky bottle) after a rain soaked performance.
Probably came from Rosyth. It all went.
