Hi have just acquired this badge, it is cast and unfortunately broken by the scroll “ICH” and base of Feather’s, what I like is the font and the Jewels in the Coronet.

Is this an authentic badge?...

Markings on back of strap? If the badge is full size could it not be for the band around a Pith Helmet (Pagri?) lots of other novel ways for badges to be mounted to these....
