Further to Alan O's post #4, here is a non-maker-marked example which found its way into my hands. I assume it originated from the seller in the link. Either way, the badge was clearly made...

I started the thread because I like variations on both Norfolk and Essex cap badges. The Norfolk badge I flagged up confused me, it has all the hallmarks on the obverse...

Personally I have no idea who the seller is. However, what does make me smile is that a perfectly good Norfolk Regiment cap badge has just gone through for 7.

Just to clarify; when you say 'cockade', are you refering to the 'boss' at the top edge of the cap? If so an internet image search for Rifle Brigade boss badge (or similar terms) will throw up...
