non-military bronze tablet 5x5 cm, information requested, Indian?

This small metal tablet is 5x5 cm and 2 mm thick and looks cast bronze.
The animals are a tiger, Indian lion, elephant, swine, fox and others.
My feeling is that it is from the sub-continent...

I think it is a lead casting used for quality control and approval.
Such castings are made after engraving the die and before hardening it.
For a sandcasting one would use an original badge.
