Spot on Leigh , the first 'bleuets' were produced in 1916 and the British Legion produced a Somme 100 commemorative badge featuring the Poppy and Bleuet.

A quick search shows both units had elephants without anything on their backs , the nearest I could find was "Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment Volunteer Battalion " but it had a howdah .

Finally got hold of the E.P. "puffbox" (unfortunately no puff ! :)) , it is not as deep as the brass one (photo 1) and has an inner 'lip' to stop the powder splilling out.

Latest from Poppy Shop appears to be based on the 'plastic free' poppy , size 4.5cm (L) x 2.6cm (W) (brooch fitting). Cost £10.00 + postage.
