OK, here's another one. 19.5mm across the arms and made in exactly the same style as the WW1 Red Cross nurse's pins. Brooch fastener. B?? General Hospital?

Medals on Battledress?

I've come across a mid 1960's photo of a Canadian regiment wearing medals on battledress. Is that not incorrect? I thought they were worn on dress uniforms only.
