The badge you show is the pattern worn from 1908...

The badge you show is the pattern worn from 1908 to 1952. The only one that could be accurately dated to WW2 is the version with the KC and the non-voided "A".

I think it was worn with Number One Dress uniform but I am no expert. It has the King's Crown which is pre-1953 but was probabably in use much later than that.
