Through interest my unit at Nottingham is TS Orion. The unit i was with as a cadet was TS Revenge (Wirral Merseyside) That unit changed to TS Astute. As been said units will have the name of the town...

When i was a Marine cadet we used to have the Liverpool Zeebrugge parade on board the preceding Royal Iris on the Mersey with the RMR. A great parade, i still remember it !

Interestingly 'they' had a corps of drums until very recently. They wore the CP badge in a blue slouch hat, wonder if its anything to do with that ?

Agree if you have a very valuable wire or cloth badge. But as mine tend not to be, i have no problems using glue. My thinking is that my badges will always be in their frames once made.

Working on a big RM VC Frame !

Doing a big RM VC medals frame. Will also have RMLI and RMA cap and shoulder titles. This is me working on the template for the frame mount.

Will see if i can find out. It one of the two glengarry badges. Both available on ebay as restrikes. The more common version is oval and has the sphinx on top.

A visit to Preston is also recommend...

I have often wandered what the deal is with this badge because Liverpool Scots have used more than one badge havent they ?

So when i was instructor with Merseyside ACF they where using this badge...

Indeed the Army realised this dilemma. Now modern badges, ie collar and shoulder titles tend to be pin and clutch for that reason. Only disadvantage being they are flimsy and brake easily.
