Cool WWII Plastic badges

Having had a brief interest in WWII Plastic badges I have always wondered why some Regiments had badges made in plastic and others did not.

This has been explained away by some as to the...

I can't quite see why this is linked to Huntingdonshire, the bugle was used by many military units.

Cool Pioneers

I have wondered whether it was an Indian made badge, the extra soldered on reinforcing rods are generally found on Cavalry badges, maybe a special order by an officer, who knows . . !

That is what...

Cool Pioneer corps badge

I have had this Pioneer corps badge in my spares bag for probably twenty years, it's been carried around fairs and viewed by many with a chance to buy or offer an exchange for it, without any takers....

Cool 5th battalion Lincolnshire Regt shoulder title.

The loops look a little strange to me, there are numerous "T" titles online that are all modern copies and are sold as such, none seem to show the reverse and the "feet" can be seen from the front of...

Smile Damaged goods

Dave, I love that little story, no doubt badges do get damaged and I suppose a good tale can always go with them.

I once had a solid centre Suffolk Regt cap badge and the seller told me the wearer...

Question A new one on me . . !

Whilst trawling ebay I came across this item (265492610928) a Military Police plastic cap badge with the tip of the crown missing.

The vendor has intimated that the missing tip may be deliberate...

Cool Dorset Regt cap badge

Having noticed a post mentioning the Dorset Regt bi-metal cap badge as being wrong I checked with K&K Vol.II and it is mentioned, also in anodised aluminium.
Is this yet another mistake or were...

Smile ASC?

Luke, thanks for your information, I think it was part of a collection I bought some years ago, all part of the hazards of buying up collections that started in the 1970's.
I have only got around to...

ASC 1916

With over 70 views I am surprised nobody has commented on the solid centre badge with the loops, is it a 1916 issue where the manufacturer ran out of sliders?

Thanks for your comments chaps, the badge with the slider is a poor repair IMO, as to whether the slider is the type on fakes I am not sure, the badge may of course be an OSD with the bronze finish...
