Yep, aware of that. :) I do reenactment and am currently working with a seamstress on making a replica beret. The oilskin liner insider is quite clever actually.

That's what I thought. According to the assistant curator the formation flashes didn't seem to appear until April/May 1945. So curious as to why the RAC title is used... No one else in the other...

Yes, the 26th was raised in 1941 in Pune, India, but as they were about to go into action in Burma they were disbanded and the men moved to the 3rd Carabiniers.

Got these in a car boot sale the other day. I first got the 3rd Carabiniers badge because I'm in a bit of a Burma-mood at the moment, and it's not one of the more common badges. And it's nice. :)
