You do not need to be a WO in the Guards to be called "Sir", you only need to hold an appointment. The Pioneer Sgt, LADSSgt, RAPTC SSgt were all Sirs and I'm sure there were others.

Disappointed about the hussars, not surprised by the naval battalion badges. They look well aged so I will still use them for display. Any tips that show these as fake other than the rarity of them....
