I also spotted a second hybrid TRF, an Engineer trf oversewn on a light blue plain square, similar to 23 Eng. Regt. but wrong colour blue.

Current day RM Officer [cap] badge is a 2 piece as per the photo.

However the 2 pieces are placed much closer together in a much more orderly manner.

They were made, for the Regiment by Lancashire Embroidery.

Lancashire Embroidery would always make ‘overruns’ which they would then sell onto dealers and collectors.
