The black lace band, if you study it closely, you can make out Oak leaves and acorns.
This fits perfectly ( to me ) with the Robin Hood cap badge.

Robin Hood Rifles Field Officer.

Picked this up today. Badged to the Robin Hood Rifles, not sure about the cap badge being original to the cap a/a?
However the badge is well fixed with the slider bent over on itself and the Crown...
