Thanks Mike

I did see that on their website and shot them an e-mail to ask them about my badges but haven't heard anything back yet. I suppose there's not really any question that Power Squadron is where these...

Some more Mike

I don't know how you guys do it Mike. Before bothering the forum with this stuff I will look for it, off and on for weeks. Then I post it and some of you come up with something within hours.

In...

Good one Mike

That's great. I'll have to look into that power squadron lead further to find mine. As far as the Queens badge goes, I'm trying to find why it would have a gold and green border. That's not...

Mystery badges of the week

OK, here are my latest head scratchers. I got in touch with Queen's University in Belfast to ask about their little badge. I actually reached their department in charge of patent protection and...

My Mistake

So D-Day, I just re-read your post and you didn't say it was a cap badge, simply a badge. You're right, my bad.

Here's a page from BRCN 1962 I believe that shows the Other Ranks blazer crest but...

Too Big

3 3/4" across. Bit too big for a cap badge I think.

Perhaps

That could be D-Day. It certainly conforms perfectly with their cap badge but I never thought of the CIC having superior quality blazer crests like this one is. It wouldn't be the first time I was...

Once again,,,,,,,,,, FS Airforce half wing?

This one has me stumped. I would have thought Flight Surgeon but can't find anything online. It's really well made, rhodium plated unless I'm wrong.

Thanks.

C.S.W. buttons????

So while I'm at it, C.S.W. buttons. They are backmarked Army & Navy Co-operative society so I associate that with Britain, WW1ish era and common supplier of accoutrements to gentleman soldiers. I...

Hey, thanks CB and tuckerf. That helps a lot.

This would be a good place for me to thank Dan fromelles again for an answer he gave me some time ago to a thread question about some Australian...

Lanyards too?

There is a thread about Cdn lanyards from a few years ago and I didn't want to bump it because it's fairly complete. Lanyards seem to be very poorly documented. It kind of seems that they were a...

Thanks Mike. That's a great page. Lots of info. I'm surprised to see the Pioneer School has an anchor on theirs. That would have thrown me off if I'd had that one.

OK, I have some more things to identify. I will be selling them once I get them sorted out. Some of you want to know when I am identifying things I intend to sell but let's just say, going forward...

Righto, done. Ian, when you're right, you're right. I liked the red but it didn't grow on me enough. Back to yellow. It was a fun project and as the purest act of vanity I put a red dot over my...

Down to the short strokes.

Well I did the border in yellow which I think was quite correct but it looked too much like an RCMP saddle blanket to me so,,,,,,,,,,red. Dobbin needs some black hooves yet, a little touching up on...

Half way?

Did another hour or so. That gold paint just flows on so nicely. It's always nice to work with. It's Testors gold. Different lighting conditions have made the blue look much darker. It ain't.
