It is a genuine badge. I’ve seen this type referred to as the ‘wonky’ or ‘ugly’ crown variant. Not a common variant in comparison to Gaunt die badges etc.

A well known forum member has a badge...

It’s an interesting badge being devoid of all the noted flaws as I can see.

Unusual also in that badges from this die are fairly scarce so one would assume the die did not see much use to generate...
