Forty years ago I bought a collection of pipers badges, amongst them was an RFC badge mounted on a gilding metal wreath.
I assume it is a made up badge for bandsmen.

They are all Auctioners so they have a head start in knowing what the item will sell for.
They do at times boo-boo and this is probably stage managed as is their getting a bargain.

Old collector fills in the gaps

After a forty year interval I have dug my collections out of the loft and am remounting them.

5th Battalion Devonshire Regiment

I have both the all white metal and the blackened brass, both are voided as is K & K 1709. The regulars B/M badge is also voided and all sliders are plain.
