The Victorian collars were a different pattern altogether the bugle with a castle and feathesr over the ribbons.

I've yet to see one in the flesh that doesn't come looking like that although as we see in pictures above they do exist. From time to time there are the odd cast PBP's which look awful at the back...

I think that badge is actually the East Kent Rifles as the 1st VB Buffs prior to them wearing the dragon badge in the Brodrick Cap.
