I also believe that the black harp with slider...

I also believe that the black harp with slider was worn during WW2 by the Ulster Home Guard. It was formed from the Ulster Special Constabulary.

I don't like the first badge but the second one...

I don't like the first badge but the second one looks OK but it has been badly stored at some time. Rather than brass on the back I believe it is residue left from rusty water.
