G (Guards) Company badge

There is a new enamaled G (Guards) Company in the pipe line but not yet issued but approved by the army dress committee, at present they wear the gilt version:)

Colour backings

Just to clear it us

Dark navy blue backing is worn by other ranks, except the Sergeant Major
Officers have scarlet backing to their badges

The Golden Gun

The Golden Gun is on display within the Guards Museum.

It is still shot for today and is taken out once a year for when the Regiment has its shooting competition. The winner has his photo taken...

Yes there is a solid silver version as well as the bronze ones. We have an officers group photos showing all the officers wearing the solid silver version.
