Irv - given Podge's history, length of service plus any documents, photo's he would be prepared to include, his group will do far better than that ... this sounds rather like a 'conservative'...

That would be typical ! The drill instructors knew no bounds when it came to God's Little Acre - another favourite was to send a Recruit Squad clambering over the 8 feet wall around the Parade...

Knew 'Podge' when I was but a young Junior Marine at ITCRM, Lympstone 1964. He was CSM 'X Troop' Training ... Firm but Fair. Several years later had the pleasure of sitting next to him at an RMA...
