Correct that is the officers badge adopted late 1930's or possibly early 1940's. Don't have my reference at hand, but definitely Not WWI

What you would need is the Tippet badge/medal that hangs off a ribbon. There was also a Reserve QAIMNS(R) that had a tippet badge as well.
