The 'feathers/plumes' I believe is an officers bullion beret badge for the Royal Regiment of Wales (RRW).

Yes, they are Warrant Officer, class 1 (W.O.1). Generally for a Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) - also known as 'the razzman' in certain low circles.

Also the Brandywine flash worn by C Coy 2 Wessex. They did wear for a period, the flash in red plastic...

Gents, recent find - anodised Royal Gibraltar Regiment marked Dowler. Birmingham on a rather ropey khaki beret, but a rather nice example of the backing, not too often found.

Irv - it's the splayed out 'feet' where the lug is welded to the rear of the badge. This is generally indicative of copies and not found on original period badges. Unfortunately as the guys above...

All the closest images I could find online appear the same. Perhaps it mirrors...
