Your comment re. the green / blue caubeens being worn by the Royal Irish Rangers in 1969 is interesting, I have a dark blue one without a badge backing...

Another Border Regiment cast badge, an "EDEN 43" with fabric insert now faded from red to pink - orange.
I'm no sure if it bears traces of a silver coloured finish on the back.

Unfortunately I can't check the badge fittings on the other two caps to see if their screw posts have been trimmed down, it'd involve damaging stitching etc..

UN flags with contingent patches sewn on them were sold to UN personnel in Tito Barracks, Sarajevo, 1999-2000, I think they were put together in Croatia, the "military souvenir dealer" selling them...
