The cloth badge visible in the photograph appears to be that of the American Red Cross Service Club, which must be a relatively scarce badge. I only have the much more common service version.

There is no way of knowing if the officer was commissioned before, during or after the Great War. Are there any clues in the photograph that might help to date it? Obviously he was still serving...

If Suttle wasn't a badge maker it would be interesting to know where he sourced his badges from.
