Hello, yes I did wonder if it was band related, am pleased to find it and am guessing like many pieces it has been resealed I’ve seen 1918 raf sealed patters resealed in the late 1950s !!!

WW1 raf Russian blue prototype cuff rank

This is an interesting one that came in with some sealed pattern pieces both ww1 and ww2 , it’s on Russian blue material all I can think of is prototype rank insignia like the army’s cuff rank !...
