Badges with these FN style sliders are quite common as Narborough was a prolific maker. They are not of the best quality, but representative none the less.
I would guess yours to be of WW2 era make....

It is an OR collar badge, not a cap badge nor an officer OSD, which were the same but larger. The OSD cap badge will be bronzed with blades (tangs).

There was nothing to prevent an NCO from purchasing or receiving a hallmarked badge either. For me, I refer to any of these badges as NCO/officer and make no further distinction.
