The trade bands are for all trades in the RAMC during my time, eg Nursing Orderly, AMN,CMT, OTT, Lab Techs, Radiographers etc,etc

We wore the badge on the left breast when wearing hospital whites. Then when you qualified as a State Registered Nurse you could wear the civilian badge also on the whites.

Have still got mine, qualified in 1963. Known in the Corps as the order of the Dustbin Lid. The Certificate that comes with it is AFC 344.

Definitely the Garrison Tailor in Colchester. Had my BD pleated, trade bands and the red viking stitched on. Changed to No2 dress when it came out and all alterations done by Jolliffes. 1960-62.

I was in the Life Boys prior to going up to Boys Brigade.
Uniform was a Naval Cap, Blue jersey with a blue pennant on the right shoulder with your company number. Mine was 44th Edinburgh.
