NICE! Looking at the Pe-14 book it must fit in around the HP.87 and MM.37 area. Unit name on badges is RSC. Is the button 25.5mm in width?

Canadian Badge

Your badge is from THE ROYAL CANADIAN ENGINEERS. Note the "VI" in the middle, it is for George VI. The badge can then be dated 1937 to1952.

Thanks Chris. No idea of the story behind it - but as a guess - 1Div Signals. the dates and locations are all right for 1Div and since they are the only ones to use that badge - - maybe!!!

Daniel Mazeas; page 8; MS.5 - Canadian Militia Badges Pre- 1914. These are Militia - General Service Collar Badges. Many refer to this pattern as the "Boar War" Gen Svc badge.

I know of three in museum collections (CMI, Kingston Signal Museum). I seem to remember that Blanford; royal Signals Museum has one. I know of three private collections that have a total of 5 badges...

I had seen that badge in my book. It is similar but it is not near the same. Different size plus the naming on the badge is completely different. I like your slouch hat idea.
