My badge is WM / Silver if that helps. Perhaps this is a 'Hat' badge rather than a beret badge. I have seen examples of Australian Slouch hats with badges having this type of fitting!

Can anyone tell me if this is an original issue cap badge? The quality is good but I have not come across 'Butterfly' pins on a British cap badge before!
