Nice picture of a 500cc Norton 16H, the census number isn't very clear but looks to be 5267311 which would mean the frame number was W84111 and it was from contract S2602 for 5,000...

There are lots of fixed shank other ranks buttons, but I don't recall seeing a drop shank button in Officers quality?

Officers often had to purchase their own insignia...
