Numbers

I've seen numbers like this used for Police Helmet Plates, some forces had the Collar number for a Police Officer in the middle of the badge.

Had a look in my Police helmet and caps book , Devon County Constabulary officers had a cap badge in the same design between 1902-1911 but they were marked down as silver.
