Leigh, the loop at the reverse of this badge is the same type as on the Helmet Plate centre, not round but rectangle.

Luke, having compared my badge against the one shown in the Marsh catalogue mine is voided above and below the "MDCCC" scroll whereas the Marsh one looks to be solid.
