Crowned 1547 aged 9.

The badge you describe is an Officer's badge, I believe all privately made by the Regiment, they are found on sliders and loops, the AY OCA members remember the Officers wearing...

The anodised aluminium badge, one of these was sealed on the 30th of April 1965, I believe it's badge A, the J R Gaunt example, as it's similar to the sealed small of badge....

This I believe is the sealed pattern of the 1927 small of badge (badge six).
It was sealed on the 5th of December 1951.
If you compare this to badge six, the die is a lot more crisp,...
