Surely it is the same designs the current RDG cap badge and is therefore in some way part of the current regiment’s uniform. The all ranks 4/7DG sleeve badge was diamond shaped with internal chevron...

Current day - same issue

The Household Cavalry Regiment was formed by amalgamating the Life Guards and the Blues and Royals ( aka RHDG) yet Squadrons wear one of other of the original cap badges and the HCMR dress as both LG...

Currently there are only 1st and 2nd RTR in existence. So if it is newish it will be one of either of them.

Any ideas as to which regiment these belong to? The buttons are staybrite, have the PoW feathers above a scoll ‘Ich Dien’. Manufacturers - Buttons Co B’ham, Gaunt L’don.

17/21L

Both regiments wore the same style of Motto. The only difference being that the QRL wore a red backing on their berets.
