I stand to be corrected but the 1st Dragoons wore the lone eagle in brass or the lion, crown and scroll badge depending on what year it was in WW2. Your design was post war I think.

This is a white metal kings own badge with a brass slider. It is neither plated or chromed. It is the first one I have ever seen that is not a Franklin Mint one.
