WW1 general staff dress caps?

Hi,
I recently acquired these two caps, both have GV buttons and a king's crown badge. Can anybody help with the period and what rank would wear them..

Dark blue cap is made by CJ Johns & Pegg,...

can anyone help identify the origin of this wound stripe, is it British?

It is exactly 1.5 inches long.

lot of badges, buttons & pips to an officer of the Wiltshire Regiment, Cap badge is by JR Gaunt, London, I believe the collar badges are silver, one is marked J&Co, Buttons are JR Gaunt & sons....
