I don't know exactly what Bosley's reasoning is.

I am not sure that Lambournes were a badge maker before WW1 but a wartime contractor who turned their machines to military use.

The Berkshire Yeomanry is a brass ORs badge which was supplied by the regt from 1908 which is why it has blades rather than the normal lugs or slider. There is an identical one in Bosleys' auction...
