The man standing far left appears to be wearing the ribbons of the QSAM and the KSAM. The two men seated second and third from the right are wearing wound stripes which dates the photo to post-1916.

I think the badge looks great. As a keen bird-watcher any badges with birds in the design are fine by me. Not the most life-like image of a peregrine falcon but still a handsome badge to my eyes. :)

Dean, I'm sorry to be a pain but your Essex Yeomanry badge is the 1905 to 1909 IY pattern with the "Audacter et Sincere" motto. You need the one with the "Decus et Tutamen" motto (1909-1916).
