Not that i can think of Alex ,basically its a Rifles/Light Infantry thing. So silver coloured and blackened .
Theres a few different shapes and sizes of whistles ,some extremely ornate.

Thats what it could be then. I presume that its to do with whatever hes doing now. . His rank badges were gold on i presume the dark green the Scots use,rather than on yellow for the RSDG.

I believe they wore the generic Light Infantry anodised button. Silver with a corded bugle horn( like an Ox and Bucks LI badge).
The shoulder title is also found in white metal.

A correction, sorry.
Gloucester , both types used during the Brigade period. The wreathed pattern was sealed in 1961. So id assume they were worn in the latter years of the Brigade.
