what period and Nationality are these machine gun patches

hi all
just asking what period and Nationality are these machine gun patches?
im assuming GB WW2, but could they have been worn by other commonwealth countries eg. australia/NZ etc

a couple of my new officers collars
rissing suns are J R Gaunt London Gilt, i have the hat badge to match
the others are officers enameled collars of the australian engineers. not sure what...

the're not made from felt
they are broadcloch but a slightly thicker/dense version than i associate ww1 patches with.

the 2 on the farthest right are purple and red and purple and white.

purple and red is either 2nd Aust MGS WW1 or its 16th ALHR...
