As usual , people were cashing in on Poppy Week with fakes and unofficial pins/badges but this listing is ridiculous !

A 2007 Poppy Pin for £119.99 + £7.99 postage !

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114645064...53.m1438.l2649

The seller's main description should flag it up as a fake but some people are really gullible .

Quote:

New Rare Collectable Poppy Large Badge 2007, size 30mm x 20mm
The photo below shows the size of a small genuine 2007 pin and a large fake one.

Edit : Just spotted another seller offering the same fake 2007 pin for £9.99 , this one mentions :
Quote:

i received a message saying that they did "not" think this was a badge issued by RBL although they were not 100% certain.
I was the one who messaged them (months ago) and told them the badges were definitely fake.

I noticed a number of presenters and persons on TV using a larger metal poppy badge and wondered about availability and type of fitting?

I think there are a lot of 'custom made' larger poppy badges with brooch fittings , in the past there have been "complaints" when presenters etc haven't been "seen" to be wearing a poppy , so they have gone for bigger ones.

My view is that wearing a poppy is a personal choice and I have no problem if people choose not to.

Nice photos.
